This research is entitled “Analysis of Strategies Used by Students in Learning English for Improving Vocabulary at The Eleventh Grade of SMAN 4 Kerinci in Academic Years 2021-2022”. The purpose of this study was to investigate the teacher’s strategies on teaching English vocabulary at Eight Grade of MTsS Siulak Gedang. There are two problems that going to be discussed in this thesis those are: (1) what are the teacher’s strategies in teaching vocabulary at the Eight Grade students of MTsS Siulak Gedang, (2) why does the teacher apply the strategy teaching vocabulary at the Eight Grade students of MTsS Siulak Gedang. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative approach with descriptive research design to address these problems.

Perceptions Based on the observation in the field, the researcher identify the problem as follow: English teachers look at assessment as something that is final with a purposeof just giving students a grade. Most of them do not know the term of assessment literacy. The assessment practice is not more than grading activities. Meanwhile, conceptualizations of LAL have also started to include classroom-based perspectives, opening up for the possibility of including issues related to, for example, formative assessment.

One of the main pre-requisites to succeed in foreign language learning is to be a proficient reader, which is necessary for EFL learners as learners of English Department of State IslamicInstitute of Kerinci. To become proficient reader, they should use a variety of reading strategies. Utilizing reading strategies will facilitate the learners in their effort to understand texts, to better comprehension and eventually to become proficient readers. However, learners might not be aware of their reading strategies which impede their metacognitive awareness.

Belajar bahasa Arab juga demikian, banyak kendala yang menyebabkan pembelajaran tidak maksimal bahkan bisa jadi mengalami kegagalan. Beberapa mahasiswa mempunyai banyak masalah dalam pengucapan bahasa inggris. Pertama, beberapa siswa merasa kesulitan ketika mereka membedakan voiced dan voiceless. Kedua, sebagian besar siswa juga mengabaikan kata-kata yang memberi tekanan.Ketiga, mereja juga kesulitan membedakan vocal panjanng dan vocal pendek.Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui strategi apa yang digunakan dosen dalam mengajar pengucapan dan juga apa tantangan yang di hadapi dalam mengimplementasikan strategi tersebut, di Tadris Bahasa Inggris, Institut Agama Islam Negeri Kerinci.

Improving Students’ Ability In Writing Recount Texts Using Burger Strategy At The Eigth Grade Of State Junior High School 9sungai Penuh Academicyear 2021/2022

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki apakah penggunaan strategi Burger dapat meningkatkan teks recount siswa keterampilan menulis dan aktivitas belajar siswa., peneliti menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, refleksi, dan catatan lapangan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 26 siswa kelas VIII. Dalam pengumpulan data peneliti menggunakan tes (pre-test, post-test 1 dan post-test 2), dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara kolaboratif dengan seorang guru bahasa Inggris.
