Communicative Language Test For Speaking Class

According to Brown (2004:3) a test is a method of measuring a person’s ability, knowledge, or performance in a given domain. There are three components in that definition, method, knowledge and performance.It means that a test is a tool to measure someone’s ability in performing a language. More over Savignon (1983:231) says that tests are commonly used to measure the outcome of instructional program. Tests may be used to guide the development of instructional programs. By doing a test the teacher might check the development of the programs that have been done to the students. 

Some Efforts To Motivate Children (Students) In Learning English

The role of teacher in conducting the language learning activity is not only to transfer knowledge for the students, but also to motivate the studentsto involve themselvesin language interaction as the goal of teaching and learning process. The writer isinterested in discussing this topic because the role as a teacher especially children’s teacher is quite difficult job but attractive. The teachers are demanded to be capable of being friendly and warmly to the students, so they feel enjoyable in the learning process.

Situating Islamic Values in English Language Teaching

Studies on the integration of moral, cultural, and religious values in language learning have recently increased. This is characterized by the number of these research topics. Indonesia as the world's largest Muslim-majority country must play a role in integrating Islamic values into learning, especially in learning English as a foreign language. However, in practice, there are many problems especially not all experts agree if topics related to religion are discussed in language learning.
