Keyword : Speaking Lecturer, Alignment, syllabus and Learning Material, speaking Subject. The purpose of this research was find out how lecturers in the Speaking subject align the syllabus and learning materials based on the National Qualifications Framework standar. This research was a qualitative descriptive research, the located of this research was took in State Islamic Institute of Kerinci. The research informant was Lecturer of Speaking who teach speaking subject at second semester students of the English Department, State Islamic Institute of Kerinci Academic Year 2021/2022.

Siswa sering membuat kesalahan ketika mereka melakukan pengucapan kata dalam bahasa inggris seperti kesalahan dalam bunyi, pengejaan, dan pengucapan di X SMAN 5 Rawang Kota Sungai Penuh Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 dalam pelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Disamping itu guru juga tidak menggunakan media yang tepat dalam mengajar untuk membuat siswa aktif dalam belajar. Oleh karena itu peneliti mencoba menggunakan selt talk strategy sebagai teknik dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Self talk adalah salah satu strategy yang bisa membantu guru mengajar Bahasa Inggris dengan mudah.

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the extent to which the Chunking Strategy can improved students' reading comprehension in Narrative texts for class VIII State Junior High School 5 KERINCI in the Academic 2021/2022 and to find out the factors that supported the improvement of students' reading comprehension of Narrative texts through the Chunking Strategy in class VIII of State Junior High School 5 KERINCI in Academic 2021/2022. This research was a Classroom Action Research. The action research was conducted in three cycles from May to June. Each cycle consisted of four meetings.

Kecemasan membaca dapat memberikan banyak kerugian bagi mahasiswa. Mereka akan kehilangan kesempatan dalam menggunakan bahasa Inggris untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa mereka, terutama dalam membaca. Selain itu, kecemasan dapat menghambat siswa dalam memahami isi bacaan. Hal ini terlihat ketika siswa mengungkapkan perasaan beku, gugup, terintimidasi, bingung, khawatir dan tegang selama proses membaca. Jela sekali bahwa kecemasan memiliki efek negatif terhadap pembelajaran bahasa asing.

The purpose of this research was to know whether there were any correlation among students‟ reading strategy and their ability in reading comprehension. This research was conducted at the eleventh grade students of SMAN 3 Kerinci that consisted of 72 students as the sample. The design of this research was quantitatif descriptive and the technique used in this research was a correlational technique. In collecting the data, the researcher was distributed questionnaire to the respondents to assess students‟ reading strategy. Meanwhile, students‟ reading ability was assessed by a test.

The research concludes here with a summary of the findings of what the found. two research questions address the diversity of learning motivation, achievement and motivational outcomes. that is the result of using SPSS. one research question about learning motivation was answered by using a learning motivation questionnaire in the answer format SS, S, TS, and STS. motivasi to learn English consist of two kinds and has several Indicators; namely, the first Intrinsic motivation in the form of Interest, Need, Hobby, and Goals.
