A STUDY OF CORRELATION BETWEEN STUDENTS’ METACOGNITIVE STRATEGY AND THEIR SELF-EFFICACY IN SPEAKING SKILLS AT THE EIGHTH GRADE OF MTsN 7 KERINCI

The main purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between students‟ metacognitive strategy and their self-efficicacy in speaking skills. Besides, this study also investigate the overall level of students use of metacognitive strategy and the level of their self-efficacy in speaking skills. The sample of this research was the eighth grade students of MTsN 7 Kerinci. The data were collected using quentionaires and were calculated using a Likert Scale. There were three findings of this research.

The teacher-made test often tests the student‟s ability but does not reflect the actual achievement of the teacher‟s goal in making a test. This research was conducted to find out whether the English teacher made-test by MTsN 2 Kerinci academic year 2020/2021 was valid to measure the student‟s achievement. The research design of this research was qualitative research. The population was the English teacher at MTsN 2 Kerinci and sample of this study the final test made by the English teacher MTsN 2 Kerinci.

Reading adalah salah satu keterampilan dasar pembelajaran bahasa. Itu tidak dapat dipisahkan dari keterampilan belajar bahasa lainnya disamping menulis, berbicara, dan mendengar. Keterampilan itu harus dipelajari oleh semua pelajar bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh penggunaan Mix Freeze Group strategi terhadap pemahaman membaca siswa pada teks narrative kelas delapan di SMPN 28 Kerinci. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas delapan SMPN 28 Kerinci.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui students’ strategies in improving their pronunciation. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif, dengan informan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 4 prodi bahasa inggiris fakultas tarbiyah IAIN Kerinci tahun ajaran 2021/2022. informan ditentukan dengan teknik purposif dimana informan diambil sesuai kriteria tertentu, adapun kriteria yang digunakan adalah 5 mahasiswa dengan IPK tinggi, 5 mahasiswa dengan IPK sedang dan 5 mahasiswa dengan IPK rendah.

This final project is an experiment research. In this study, I limit the discussion by stating the following problem: “How is the students‟ achievement in learning English vocabulary by using Nursery Rhymes?” The aims of the research is to find out whether teaching vocabulary using Nursery Rhymes is effective to improve the students‟ achievement. It is expected that the result of the study can enrich the teacher‟s strategy in teaching vocabulary through Nursery Rhymes especially for junior high school students. The subject of the study was the students of SMP Athayyibah.

Kosakata merupakan hal pertama yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa, karena merupakan dasar mempelajari bahasa. Kita dapat mengatakan bahwa kosakata adalah modal utama belajar bahasa Inggris dan tanpa penguasaan kosakata, siswa tidak akan dapat menulis dan berbicara karena mereka tidak memiliki kata-kata untuk ditulis dan diucapkan. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah, pertama siswa tidak memiliki banyak kosakata. Kedua, Teknik dan metode yang digunakan monoton dan kurang bervariasi. Ketiga, siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam membedakan bentuk kata secara gramatikal.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan isi buku pembelajaran kitab Durussul Lughah al-arabiyyah karya Dr. V. Abdurrahim, baik dari segi materi, penyajian, dan kebahasaan buku. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, yaitu suatu penelitian yang berbentuk deskriptif yang hasilnya digambarkan dengan kata-kata menurut kategori untuk memperoleh kesimpulan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kitab Durussul Lughah al-arabiyyah karya Dr.V Abdurrahim.
