THE EFFECTIVENESS OF QUESTION-ANSWER RELATIONSHIP (QAR) STRATEGY IN ENHANCING STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION ABILITIES
The study reported here aimed to examine the effectiveness of the Question-Answer Relationship (QAR) strategy on students’ ability in comprehending narrative texts. Using a quasi-experimental method, this study compared two English classes: one was assigned as the experimental group and the other as the control group, in terms of reading comprehension improvement, which was measured through a pretest and posttest. The study involved a total of 46 eighth-graders of a junior high school in Kerinci regency, Jambi Province, Indonesia.
Unveiling Indonesian Pre-Service Teachers’ Perceived Competencies and Readiness for Online English Language Teaching: A Mixed Methods Study
There has been a great deal of research into teacher readiness for online language teaching conducted in many parts of the world. However, scarce inquiry on this topic has been published in the Indonesian context. The purpose of this study was twofold: (1) to investigate Indonesian EFL pre-service teachers’ perceptions of their technological, pedagogical, and evaluation skills in online language teaching, and (2) to explore their perceptions of online English language teaching. The study employed a mixed methods research approach.
PANDANGAN HAMKA TENTANG MENIKAH DALAM KEADAAN HAMIL
Islam memandang ikatan perkawinan sebagai ikatan yang kuat (mitsaqan ghalizan), ikatan yang suci (transenden), artinya perjanjian yang mengandung makna magis, suatu ikatan bukan saja hubungan atau kontak keperdataan biasa, tetapi juga hubungan yang menghalalkan terjadinya hubungan badan antara suami istri sebagai penyalur libido seksual manusia yang terhormat.

Sejarah konfigurasi politik tampak silih berganti antara konfigurasi politik demokratis dan otoriter. Demikian pula karakter produk hukum yang dihasilkan bersifat responsif atau otonom dengan karakter represif atau konservatif atau ortodoks. Produk hukum yang dihasilkan merupakan cerminan dari konfigurasi politik yang melahirkannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejarah perkembangan konfigurasi politik pada karakter produk hukum Indonesia. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat normatif yang menunjukkan bahwa politik berpengaruh dalam sistem demokrasi Indonesia.
Readiness for autonomous English language learning: The case of Indonesian undergraduate students
The purpose of this study was threefold: (1) to investigate how Indonesian undergraduate students perceive their teachers’ and their responsibilities in English language learning; (2) to investigate how the students perceive their abilities related to autonomous English language learning; (3) to examine if there are differences in the students’ perceptions of their responsibilities and abilities concerning gender and majors of study.
BATAS USIA PERKAWINAN DI NEGARA-NEGARA ISLAM
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji mengenai batas usia perkawinan di negara-negara Islam. penelitian kualitatif yang mengambil bentuk penelitian kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, terdapat beberapa negara Islam yang mengatur mengenai batas usia perkawinannya. Rata-rata dari negara-negara yang disampaikan, batas usia perkawinan di negara-negara islam berkisar antara 15 tahun sampai dengan 21 tahun.
ATURAN POLIGAMI DI INDONESIA DAN NEGARA-NEGARA MUSLIM
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji mengenai aturan poligami di Indonesia dan negaranegara Muslim. penelitian kualitatif yang mengambil bentuk penelitian kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, hukum poligami di Indonesia tertera dalam hukum perkawinan UU Nomor 1 Tahun 1978, dan dalam kodifikasi Hukum Keluarga Islam. Sebagaimana di Indonesia, di negara-negara muslim pun juga mempunyai aturan poligaminya masing-masing, yang kesemuanya bersumber dari al-Quran dan hadis sebagai sumber dasar hukum Islam.
Implementasi Pembelajaran Aksara Incung Sebagai Wujud Pengembangan Kurikulum Berbasis Kearifan Lokal di SD Negeri 046/XI Koto Tengah
The incung script is an ancient script used by the indigenous Kerinci tribe as a medium of communication written on logs/bark, buffalo horns and palm leaves. The implementationof the incung script as a curriculum development based on local wisdom is an image of the commmunity to continue to preserve culture in the form of education. The purpose of this study is to see how the process of implementing the incung script is a form of local wisdom-based curriculum development at SD Negeri 046/XI Koto Tengah.
Identification of higher education administration applications efforts to improve digital-based academic services
The authors believe that the presence of technology, especially digital applications, has not only made it easier for the work of a limited group such as business and banking and other businesses, but this digital application has also provided extraordinary convenience to educational administration matters especially universities. We have collected evidence of researchers' findings in technology effectiveness in administrative services at universities.
Penerapan Merdeka Belajar dan Kreativitas Peserta Didik
Merdeka Belajar adalah kebijakan pendidikan yang memberikan kebebasan dan fleksibilitas kepada guru dan peserta didik dalam menentukan jalannya belajar. Tujuan dari penulisan ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan merdeka belajar dalam meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik di SMA Negeri 3 Sungai Penuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendeketakan kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu para guru dan siswa SMA Negeri 3 Sungai Penuh. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini ialah menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi.
Persepsi Warga Sekolah terhadap Program Sekolah Penggerak di Kecamatan Siulak Mukai
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi warga sekolah terhadap Program Sekolah Penggerak di Kecamatan Siulak Mukai Kabupaten Kerinci. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendeketakan kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu kepala sekolah, para guru dan siswa di SDN 122/III Mukai Tengah dan SDN 169/III Mukai Mudik yang merupakan sekolah penggerak jenjang SD di Kec.Siulak Mukai. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini ialah menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi.
Teacher Readiness in Implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in Kerinci Regency
Merdeka Curriculum is a curriculum issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture in 2020 as an effort to strengthen the nation's character and adapt to the times. The implementation of this curriculum requires readiness from various parties, including teachers as direct implementers in schools. This research aims to find out the teacher's mental readiness and knowledge readiness about the independent curriculum. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data sources in this study are teachers who teach at SD Negeri Sekolah Penggerak in Kerinci Regency.
The Quality Improvement of Educator Recruitment and Selection System in Madrasah
This study describes the recruitment and selection of teachers at Private Madrasah Aliyah PTP-VI Berangir, North Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra Province. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a case study design. Data collection tools using interviews with the head of the foundation, the head of the madrasah, the deputy head of the madrasah in the field of curriculum, and certified teachers, observation, and documentation.
Uncovering the Challenges of Islamic Religious Education for Muallaf Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) Children!
This article will explore the challenges of Islamic religious education for Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) children who are converts or muallaf. We will discuss the problems faced by the Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) converts in obtaining Islamic religious education in the community. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research approach, data collection through in-depth interviews and observations and documentation. Testing data validity with triangulation of sources and methods.
Pengambilan Keputusan Berbasis Data untuk Perencanaan Pendidikan: Strategi untuk Keberhasilan Kepala Sekolah (Data-based decision making for education planning: strategies for principal success)
Data-based planning occupies a very important role in determining the success of schools or educational institutions in determining the right strategy to improve the quality of the education provided. Decision-making that is not in favor of student learning interests still often occurs in schools or educational institutions. This study aims to examine the forms and patterns of decision-making and formulate concrete efforts to design data-based plans in schools that are in favor of increasing student learning outcomes and achievements.

Learner Autonomy: A Qualitative Inquiry into Indonesian Tertiary EFL Students’ Voices
This study sought to explore Indonesian tertiary EFL students‟ voices on learner autonomy. Specifically, it investigated the students‟ conceptualization of the concept of learner autonomy, students‟ perceptions of the benefits of learner autonomy, and their perceptions of the factors that hinder and support the development of learner autonomy. The study employed a qualitative design with a case study approach and involved 30 first-year students of two institutions of higher education in Jambi province, Indonesia.
Indonesian EFL Students’ Difficulties in Recognizing English Letters
The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore the difficulties of Indonesian undergraduate students in recognizing English letters at one public Islamic higher education institution in Jambi Province, Indonesia as the basis for designing pronunciation teaching strategies for English lecturers. Using a qualitative methodology that attempts to investigate and understand human issues in a particular group (Harrison et al., 2017), 4 participants were interviewed. through semi-structured interview questions.
