Indonesian EFL Students’ Difficulties in Recognizing English Letters

The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore the difficulties of Indonesian undergraduate students in recognizing English letters at one public Islamic higher education institution in Jambi Province, Indonesia as the basis for designing pronunciation teaching strategies for English lecturers. Using a qualitative methodology that attempts to investigate and understand human issues in a particular group (Harrison et al., 2017), 4 participants were interviewed. through semi-structured interview questions.

Language Learning Strategies and Learner Autonomy: The Case of Indonesian Tertiary EFL Students

This study aimed at investigating the language learning strategies and autonomy of 76 Indonesian EFL university students and examining the correlations between the two. The Oxford's (1990) Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) for ESL/EFL learners was used to collect the data on students’ language learning strategy use and an adapted questionnaire developed by Chan et al. (2002) was used to assess students’ autonomy.

Measuring TEFL Students’ Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety: A Rasch Analysis Approach

This study sought to measures the foreign language classroom anxiety of the English Department students of a university in Indonesia and to compare the anxiety across independent demographic variables of gender and length of study at the department. The literature shows that foreign language learning anxiety affects one’s achievements in learning a foreign language. Data were collected through administration of the adapted version of Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale to 96 students selected through stratified random sampling technique.

Pendidikan Islam Berwawasan Multikultural

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh karena masyarakat Kerinci merupakan masyarakat yang majemuk terdiri dari bermacam etnis, suku dan budaya, yang rawan menimbulkan konflik, maka IAIN Kerinci merupakan salah satu Perguruan Tinggi Negeri merasa berkewajiban untuk memasukkan mata kuliah multikultural ke dalam kurikulum. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui “Pendidikan Islam Berwawasan Multikultural: Studi Implementasi di Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Kerinci”. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian field research, dengan jenis kualitatif.

THE EFL RURAL STUDENTS' EXSPERIENCES IN COPING WITTH ONLINE LEARNING DURING THE COVID - 19 PANDEMIC

This study aims to explore the learning experiences of the Indonesian rural students during the Covid-19 pandemic which had transitioned to online learning and solutions. A phenomenological approach was used as a research methodology using semi-structured interviews for the data collection. This study was conducted in one Islamic higher education with seven participants. The data were analyzed through thematic analysis by comparing each participant's interview result in the form of research themes.

KURIKULUM BERBASIS KARAKTER PADA PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA TERHADAP PENGEMBANGAN PERILAKU SISWA DI MTS NURUL HAQ SEMURUP

Kurikulum adalah acuan atau pedoman yang didesain dan diterapkan guru bersama siswa dalam pembelajaran di kelas agar pembelajaran menjadi sistematis, terintegrated dan terorganisir dengan baik untuk mencapai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan dalam pembelajaran. Kurikulum berbasis karakter merupakan kurikulum yang mempolakan dan memadukan antara aspek material konsep atau teori dengan nilai atau karakter terhadap perubahan perilaku siswa pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Perilaku siswa pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia diharapkan dapat tumbuh dan berkembang baik secara kuantiti maupun kualiti.

So the question in this study is what the moral values are found in Muhammad Al-Fatih then how are they relevant ti the goals of national education in Indonesia. This study is the study of people by literature.

Sinergitas kompetensi sosial dosen terhadap pembentukan self-disclosure mahasiswa tingkat awal*

Self-disclosure needs to be owned by students, especially in the first year because it is a way to adapt to a new environment. This study aims to analyze the synergy between lecturer's social competence on the formation of student self-disclosure. The research method uses a quantitative approach with the type of correlational research. The research population is all freshmen in the first year. The research sample was 146 students. The sampling technique used is cluster sampling.

PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN ROLE PLAYING PADA MATA KULIAH UMUM (MKU) BAHASA INDONESIA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA*

MKU Bahasa Indonesia dipandang oleh sejumlah mahasiswa sebagai Mata Kuliah yang membosankan Hal ini dikarenakan materi perkuliahan MKU Bahasa Indonesia hanya menekankan pada keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia. Selain itu dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran dosen dominan menggunakan metode ceramah, membaca buku, menjelaskan, menulis dipapan tulis, kemudia mahasiswa mencatatnya. Penggunaan media pembelajaran pada orientasi pembelajaran akan sangat membantu keaktifan proses pembelajaran dan menyampaian pesan dan isi perkuliahan yang dipelajari.
