ANNADA PUSPITA SARI: ANALYSIS OF THE APPLICATION OF PEER- TUTOR METHOD ON STUDENTS' READING ABILITY IN THE QUR'AN IN TAHFIDZ-QUR'AN LEARNING IN CLASS VII MTsN 1 SUNGAI PENUH ABSTRACT This research concerns the ANALYSIS OF THE APPLICATION OF THE PEER- TUTOR METHOD TO STUDENTS' READING ABILITY IN THE QUR'AN IN TAHFIDZ-QUR'AN LEARNING IN CLASS VII MTsN 1 SUNGAI PENUH. The type of research used is qualitative research with descriptive research. The formulation of the problem is as follows: 1. How is the learning process of Tahfidz Qur'an using the Peer Tutor method in class VII MTsN 1 Sungai Penuh? 2. How is the ability to read the Qur'an of students using the peer tutor method in learning Tahfidz Qur'an in class VII MTsN 1 Sungai Penuh? 3. What are the factors that drive and inhibit the application of the peer tutoring method in learning Tahfidz Qur'an in class VII MTsN 1 Sungai Penuh? This research is included in qualitative research so that it will produce descriptive data in the form of words. The data analyzed in it is descriptive and not in the form of numbers as in quantitative research. According to Arikunto (2006: 309) The type of research is field research related to the analysis of the application of the peer tutoring method to students' Al-Qur'an reading skills in Tahfidz Qur'an learning in Class VII MTsN 1 Sungai Full.
