HUBUNGAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP PESERTA DIDIK DENGAN KARAKTER PEDULI LINGKUNGAN PADA MATERI EKOSISTEM DI SMP 4 KERINCI

This study aims to determine: To determine the understanding of students on Ecosystem Materials at SMP 4 Kerinci, To determine the Environmental Care Character in Ecosystem Materials at SMP 4 Kerinci and to determine the relationship between Student Concept Understanding and Environmental Care Characters in Ecosystem Materials at SMP 4 Kerinci. This study uses expost facto correlational research, namely examining cause-and-effect relationships that are not manipulated or treated (designed and implemented) by the researcher. In this study using ex-post facto research type of correlation research. Correlation research is a research that involves collecting data to determine whether there is a relationship and the degree of relationship between two or more variables. Correlation research includes data collection activities to determine whether there is a relationship between variables in the subject or object of concern for research. Research on cause-and-effect relationships is carried out on programs, activities or events that have taken place or have occurred. The existence of a causal relationship is based on a theoretical study, that something is caused or motivated by certain variables or results in certain variables. The variables in this study are the Understanding of Students' Concepts (variable X) and Character Care for the Environment (variable Y). Research Results: The Relationship between Students' Concept Understanding and Environmental Care Characters in the Ecosystem Material of SMP Negeri 4 Kerinci in online learning is known to be the correlation score for the Student Concept Understanding variable and the Self-Concept variable is 0.085> 0.05. This shows that there is no significant relationship between self-concept and Environmental Care Character in Ecosystem Materials. The criterion of the level of relationship (correlation coefficient) between variables is 0.251 with a moderate correlation. The price of the correlation coefficient which has a high correlation value indicates that the higher the student's understanding of the concept of students, the higher the character of environmental care in the student's ecosystem material experienced by students. So it can be based on the correlation test, it can be said that there is no relationship between Student Concept Understanding and Environmental Care Character in the Ecosystem Material of SMP Negeri 4 Kerinci
