This study aims to describe the social values of character education contained in English textbooks entitled Upper English English for High School with the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Revised 2017 The main instrument of this study was the observation of the checklist and validity. In analyzing data, this study uses content analysis techniques by comparing data, making categorization, presenting data tabulation, explaining verbally, and interpreting findings to carry out inference. The research subjects were 7 texts in English textbooks titled Bahasa Inggris for High School with the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Revised 2017. Objects were the social concern described by the Ministry of National Education. This study uses triangulation and reliability. The results showed that there was a point of findings discussed in this study. Related to the occurrence of characters, the values of social care described by the Ministry of National Education were found in English textbooks entitled English class eleven for high school with the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Revised 2017. The data analysis method used was content analysis. The character of social awareness is the most dominant character found in the ext with 6 data. It implies that the author wants to increase student social awareness about other humans.
