This study aims to describe the thinking process of students at the extended abstract level. The descriptive method used in this research is a qualitative approach. The instruments in this study included written test sheets and interview guides. Data analysis techniques used data collection, data reduction, display data, and concluding. The research subjects were two students who had reached the Extended abstract level on the SOLO taxonomy.

Are the Mathematics Textbooks for Eighth-Grade Meet the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) 2019 Mathematics Framework?

This study aims to determine the suitability of mathematics textbooks for eighth-grade with Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) 2019 Mathematics Framework. This research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach and content analysis techniques. The data of this research are the eighth-grade mathematics textbook. In the textbook analysis, the researcher used three textbooks, namely Penerbit Erlangga, Yudhistira, and the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud).

In traditional teaching, many teachers often ignore the process of students' knowledge exploration, devote themselves to instilling knowledge to students in a short time, and then adopt the sea of questions tactics. Such teaching is only limited to the stage of telling students what "variance" is and how to use it, and ignores the birth process and meaning of "variance". The purpose of this research is to see the differences in classes that use dynamic mathematics software and traditional classes. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative.

The Effect of Mathematical Connections on the Mastery of Probability Material

This study aims to analyze students' mathematical connections in terms of their initial ability to material opportunities. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with the design of this research is the Two Group Pretest-posttest. The population of this study was all students of semester VI Physics Tadris UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi, totaling 42 people. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling with research instruments in the form of test descriptions. Data were analyzed using a paired t-test test.

This study aims to examine the difference in Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) increase with students who obtain Autograph assisted discovery leaning, 2.The interaction between learning models and students initial mathematical abilities to students’ mathematical problem solving abilities. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The population in this study were all the students of class IX SMA Alwashliyah 3 Medan totaling 90 students. The sample selection is determined by randomly selecting two classes.

This study aims to describe the students’ mathematical connections in terms of the locus of control. The mathematical connection indicators in this study are writing down the mathematical concepts that underlie the answers, recognize the relationship of various mathematical ideas and mathematical topics that can be related to problems of everyday life, and understand how to solve mathematical ideas that are interrelated and underlie each other to obtain an integrated whole. Data collection methods in this study were questionnaires, tests, and interviews.

Perbandingan Kemampuan Representasi Matematis Siswa Sekolah Dasar pada Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran Augmented Reality dan Pasir Kinetik

This study aims to determine the difference of students’ representation ability through the Augmented Reality (AR) and kinetic sand as learning media. This research is a quasi-experimental by nonequivalent control group design. The students’ representation ability compared based on students’ prior mathematical ability (PMA) as high, medium, and low category. The data analyzed by using two path Anova on SPSS 16. The results of data analysis shown that there is no difference on students’ representation ability in both AR class and kinetic sand class in significance value of 0.68.

The purpose of this research is to develop learning tools based for Algebra on Problem Based Learning (PBL) to support the mathematics communication ability of Junior High School students. Learning tools developed in this development research is students’ worksheets. The research method used is 4D model, which consists of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The results of worksheets’ validation by experts were 4,05 for the layout design and 4,19 for the content (both were categorized as valid).

The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in mathematical problem-solving abilities and students' responses during the learning process by applying a problem-solving approach with metacognitive strategies. This research is a classroom action research consisting of 3 cycles. The instrument used is a test of mathematical problem-solving skills and student response questionnaire. The results of the study concluded that the ability of mathematical problem-solving in the application of problem-solving approaches with metacognitive strategies has increased.

This study aimed to improve student’s problem-solving abilities of tangent circle equations using discovery learning. This research was done in class XI IPA 4 SMA N 1 Palembang. This research method is used Classroom Action Research with discovery learning models. The instrument is used test instrument in the form of an evaluating matter of the tangent circle equation in the description form and the observation sheet for observation of the learning activity of the students.

The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation learning styles and learning activeness towards students' mathematics learning outcomes. This study was a correlation study with all students of class VIII SMP II Luqman Al-Hakim Batam as the population, they were 154 students. The sampling technique uses a purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study was 62 students. The data collection method used was documentation and questionnaires. The instrument in this study used was test that was valid and reliable (r1 = 0.841 and r2 = 0.859).

This study aims to identify, analyze and map the results of students’ research on mathematics education in 2015-2018. This research used the CHAID algorithm that consists of 3 steps ie merging, splitting and stopping steps. The results of this research were (1) In 2015-2018, 51,9% of the students’ research used the classroom action research and 48,1% else used the descriptive, the analysis and the experiment. (2) 14,1% of the students used media for teaching and learning and 3,7% of them did not. (3) 8,1% were individual research and 5,9% were a collaboration or team research.

The objective of this study is to determine the effect of cognitive style on students’ mathematical problem-solving ability. This study used the survey method with a quantitative approach. One class consisting of 32 students was selected by purposive sampling for the study sample. A total of 17 students have a field-dependent (FD) cognitive style, while 15 other students have a field independent (FI) cognitive style. GEFT and mathematical problem-solving ability test instruments were used to collect research data.

The adequate learning resources as support for student learning activities was one of the factors supporting the learning process successful. The use of textbooks as a source of learning did not support thinking activities, especially students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The textbooks so far only emphasize the understanding of the concept while the students' mathematical reasoning abilities were less noticed. This research intends to develop student worksheets that are valid, practical and effective in developing mathematical reasoning abilities and can be accessed via the internet.

This study aims to identify students’ errors in solving problem equals to PISA’s based on Newman procedures. Qualitative-descriptive research was used in conducting this study and the subjects were third-grade students at SMP Unggul Sigli in year 2017/2018. Data was collected using tests and interviews. The instrument of this study was a sheet consisting of 5 (five) mathematical questions that composed equivalent to PISA’s problem.

This study is based upon work that the researcher has done to investigate the contribution of this institution especially insurance administration and actuary seen from the student’s perspectives for apprenticeship to develop their skills. This study used qualitative data which were collected by interviewing the randomly chosen apprentices and are measured with the questionnaire.

Hubungan Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas XI MAN Model Makassar

This study discusses the correlation between students’ learning motivation and mathematics learning outcomes. The population of this study is 320 students of class XI MAN Model Makassar. The technique sampling used was random sampling. Data collected by using documentation format and questionnaire. Data analyzed by using descriptive analysis and nonparametric statistical analysis. The result of descriptive analysis showed that 53,75% of students had high learning motivation and 62,5% of students get scores 7-7,4 on 10 scales.
