ANALISIS METAKOGNITIF SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN MASALAH INTEGRAL

Metacognition is the ability of students both orally and in writing to express thinking ideas and put them into solving mathematical problems. Based on prior observation, the students of class XII Multimedia often occurs metacognitive errors. That problem was the background to carry out this research that was a qualitative research. This research aims to find out the metacognitive errors and it’s caused at students of SMK Negeri 1 Sungai Penuh Class XII on integral subjects. The subject of this research was class XII Multimedia because researchers took the research subjects based on purposive sampling techniques. This research used tests and interviews. Based on the analysisof the data, there are 6 students who have tacit use, 4 students who have an aware use mindset, 5 students have a strategic use mindset and no students have a reflective mindset use on integral material. The types of metacognitive experienced by students are: a. unable to know what he knows; b. unable to sort out what he is about to do; c. able to analyze a problem knows to determine the initial steps and steps to completion; d. evaluate the results obtained are true or false. From those research results, it can be concluded that the metacognitive of class XII Multimedia students is still in the medium category.
