STUDENTS’ PERCEPTIONS ON THE USE OF E-LEARNING MEDIA DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AT THE FIFTH SEMESTER OF THE ENGLISH DEPARTMENT OF IAIN KERINCI ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/2022

he purpose of this research is to explain students' perceptions of online learning at English Department students IAIN Kerinci. This research uses qualitative research method. The informants in this research are the fifth semester students of the English Department of IAIN Kerinci totaling 23 students. Data collection techniques used in researchare interviews and documentation. Techniqueanalysis using qualitative techniques.The results of the research show that the majority of students have a bad perception towards online learning. This matterbecause the majority of students do not understand the online learning materials delivered, the method of delivering material that is considered lacking interesting and students' opinions about online learning that are consideredless effective. The obstacles faced when learning online are: weak signal to access material during online learning, spend a lot of internet quota, and students' understanding of the material delivered by the lecturer is not maximally accepted.
