Based in the researcher observation at the tenth grade of SMAN 9 Kerinci, the researcher
finds some problems of students when reading English were firstly, students did not able to
comprehend some texts. Secondly, the students did not able to answer some questions based on
the text in the book. Thirdly, the researcher looks that most of students did not able to re-
explained recount text which their read.
