Laboratories play an important role as a place for theory application, trials and research. Laboratory utilization supports the development of students' scientific skills, facilitates understanding of concepts, and increases learning motivation. In this st udy, the science laboratory at SMPN 5 Kerinci was evaluated for compliance with national standards. The purpose of this study is to see whether the science laboratory at SMPN 5 Kerinci is in accordance with the standards set out in Permendiknas number 24 o f 2007. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative.
