Based on research conducted at SMPN 18 Kerinci, it can be seen that the
value of reading comprehension in English subjects is still below the KKM, this is
because learning carried out by teachers still uses conventional and less innovative
learning models. English learning activities only contain routine activities based
on teacher instruction and it has become a habit that has been carried out for
years, because the teacher does not use learning media, many teachers use the
lecture method.
