PERSEPSI GURU TERHADAP IMPLEMENTASI KURIKULUM MERDEKA BELAJAR DI MADRASAH ALIYAH NEGERI 2 SUNGAI PENUH

Deskripsi/Abstract
This study aims to explore teachers‟ perceptions of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Sungai Penuh. The research problem arises because, although teachers have participated in Merdeka Curriculum training, most subsequent socialization was conducted online, and intensive training support from the Education Office remains limited. This situation results in varied teacher readiness in applying the curriculum. The study employed a qualitative field research approach with seven informants, consisting of the principal, vice-principal for curriculum, and teachers, using observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that teachers‟ perceptions of the Merdeka Curriculum are generally positive, as it allows them the freedom to innovate and tailor learning to students‟ needs. Despite technical and non-technical obstacles, teachers continue to implement project-based and differentiated learning while emphasizing student independence and character development. The curriculum‟s implementation requires creativity, technological adaptation, and continuous professional training.
