IMPLEMENTASI MODEL DIRECT INSTRUCTION PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA DI SMP NEGERI 24 KERINCI

Deskripsi/Abstract
This study is motivated by students who pay less attention and listen to the teacher's explanation during the learning process. The delivery of material by the teacher is too monotonous and less varied so that this results in students being less enthusiastic and less interested in participating in the learning process and the learning activities that take place tend to be passive so that it has an impact on their learning outcomes. The formulation of problems and objectives in this study are (1) How is the implementation of Direct Instruction models in Islamic religious education subjects in improving student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 24 Kerinci (2) How are the obstacles in the implementation of Direct Instruction models in Islamic religious education subjects in improving student learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 24 Kerinci (3) How is the impact of the implementation of Direct Instruction models on student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education subjects at SMP Negeri 24 Kerinci. The research method used in this research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach, data collection is done by observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, to analyze the data, namely by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that (1) The implementation of the Direct Instruction Model applied by PAI teachers was carried out with well-structured stages. Including: orientation, where the teacher begins to build or create a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning. Next, the teacher presents the material in an interesting and interactive way. continue with structured exercises. Then the teacher provides guided practice and independent practice which is proven to improve student learning outcomes. (2) The obstacles in implementing the Direct Instruction model in Islamic religious education subjects are interference from friends, sound and activities outside the classroom, limited learning tools and media, teacher understanding of Islamic Religious Education material. (3) The impact of the implementation of the Direct Instruction model on student learning outcomes is more active student involvement in the learning process. Then the improvement of learning outcomes, which is reflected in the increase in test scores and student assignments.
