Deskripsi/Abstract
This study aims to analyze students' perceptions of English teachers' communication styles and their impact on students' learning motivation. This research used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews with 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Kerinci. The results of the study indicate that effective teacher communication styles, such as Equalitarian communication style can increase student motivation to learn. However, a Dynamic communication might motivate some students but not others. Conversely, a withdrawal or in attentive communication style can significantly hinder students in motivation in english language learning. This study emphasizes the importance of teachers' awareness of their communication styles and their impact on classroom dynamics and student motivation.
